Invitation to the Online Event
Scaling Up Green Hydrogen
from the “Global H2 Upscaling” Research Project
How can the expansion of global green hydrogen production be effectively promoted?
What framework conditions are needed to develop sustainable markets?
These questions have been at the core of the “Global H2 Upscaling” research project, conducted by IZES in cooperation with GIZ (represented by the International PtX Hub) and funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK).
As part of the research, the development of a hydrogen economy in ten countries was comparatively analysed, and in-depth case studies were conducted on-site in Chile and South Africa. After three years of intensive research, the project will conclude in March 2025.
Thus, we would like to share key findings with a global expert audience.
Event Structure:
Block 1:
Presentation of country comparisons and analysis of the interactions between national developments and European demand-side instruments.
Block 2:
Four expert interviews addressing key action areas and best practices for successfully scaling up hydrogen projects. Gain valuable insights into the current state of hydrogen market development, key challenges, and successful approaches to global hydrogen upscaling.
